AGM UPVC
is a term that stands for Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride. PVC or polyvinyl chloride is a polymer material that can be heated and molded to get desired products such as pipes. PVC pipes are strong and very hard. Therefore, manufacturers tend to add plasticizers to PVC in order to reduce rigidity. However, UPVC is the unplasticized PVC in which no plasticizer is included. Hence it is very rigid.

ASTM’s plastic pipe standards are instrumental in specifying, testing, and evaluating the physical, mechanical, design, and installation requirements for plastic, polymeric, or elastomeric pipes, tubing, and fittings, including the seals, threads, and couplings that join them together. Such products are intended for use in high pressure storage vessels, water distribution systems, waste drainage and sewerage systems, agricultural drainage and septic tank leach fields, and existing sewer and conduit rehabilitation. These plastic pipe standards help product manufacturers, industrial processing plants, plumbing companies, and other users and producers of these products to ensure proper and safe fabrication, assessment, installation, and utilization.
